A Victorian vignette, with nostalgic German glass ornaments combine with the playful decorations of antique toys.
The joy of awakening on Christmas morning is a feeling that lasts a lifetime. Each year, we try to recreate the magic of that feeling and this year is no different. Featuring seventeen vignettes, we have themes that appeal to everyone’s definition of a personalized Christmas morning.
Upon entering the Retail Gallery here in Sutton, Massachusetts, you’ll first be presented with a high design vignette that features bright white and red colors with clean edges and polished shapes. This section leads you to a display featuring old travel trunks, masculine color patterns reminiscent of tobacco and amber (along with candles to match). With decorations made from actual California wine staves, you’ll find decanter ornaments, glass bottles, and botanical decorations for a sophisticated palate.
Going further, a calm setting featuring “letters to Santa” bookends a display of Nutcrackers and Pyramids made and imported from German artists which share a wall with a vignette of American made Nativity designs.
The central focus of the front of the Retail Gallery ties in elements of a Victorian Christmas with a blend of nostalgic German glass ornaments and Polish glass ornaments created to look like the toys of yesteryear. Next, to this display, you’ll find trees filled with ornaments that make perfect gifts for the teacher, policeman, or military figure in your life.
Making your way to the inside of the Window Display, you’ll find the calm of the wintry outdoors is brought inside with a wood landscape blending muted colors with understated features. The calm outdoors scheme helps to bring your focus to the window display’s elegant, shimmering display of shiny glass and reflective ornaments that will dazzle and impress.
Beyond the central display, you’ll find themes of Gingerbread nestled next to the traditional collections of Byers’ Choice Carolers and more ornaments perfect for making a personalized gift.
Located directly in the center of the Retail Gallery, you’ll find a dining room table fit for a Christmas celebration. With oversized shimmering candelabra’s, elegant Paddywax candles in contemporary containers, you’ll find that the exorbitant details within the Austrian eggs and Russian carvings will add to your home’s place settings.
Going beyond the central display you’ll find both nautical displays mixed with a Country Home theme with decorations including Juliska dinnerware, April Cornell, Hammond candy, and more. The nostalgic scents of the holidays fill the air with both Kringle and Paddywax candles.
Near the end of the decorative journey that is sure to inspire, is the “counting sheep” vignette that prominently shows toys, children’s decorations and stuffed animals that are both cute, and classic. With stuffed animal sheep suspended over a bed that is overloaded with decorations, this final vignette is certain to give a child their first Christmas morning to awaken to and will be remembered forever.
