Resl Lenz

Resl Lenz, born Theresia Grundner in 1927 in Dorfen, Bavaria, showed early artistic talent and pursued art studies in Munich. After marrying Anton Lenz in 1954, she created her first Christmas ornament in 1958 by placing handcrafted decorations inside glass balls, sparking the Lenz family business. Their ornaments gained international fame after debuting at the 1959 Frankfurt Trade Fair, attracting major clients like Macy’s and Harrods. In 2004, Resl and Anton passed the business to their daughter Juliane, who continues the tradition. Today, Lenz Christmas ornaments remain cherished, handmade collectibles from Dorfen, Bavaria.
