Connie Porcher is the publisher and editor of the nationally known ornament magazine Celebrate365.

Collector’s Weekend lectures serve multiple purposes; the primary being is offering some outside perspective from industry leaders. This year when we wanted to focus on ornaments there was no better person to ask than Connie Porcher, the publisher and editor of the nationally known ornament magazine Celebrate365.

Having started her magazine in 1999 to focus on providing readers with up-to-the-minute ornament news through carefully researched articles, Connie has been active in growing her magazine to a year-round premiere magazine for the year-round ornament collector. In addition to her print magazine, Connie has been active in the New Media realm having gained a following both through media like Facebook and Twitter.

Connie will be kicking off Vaillancourt Folk Art’s 16th annual Collector’s Weekend lecture series at 10:00am on Saturday, April 30th (free admission) at Blaxton Hall in the Vaillancourt studios talking about the evolution of Christmas ornaments and the history in how they are used in decorating the Christmas Tree.
