We are pleased to welcome Gerald Charles Dickens back to perform A Christmas Carol this Thanksgiving Weekend!
For 2021, there will be some slight changes to previous years. In an effort to give more space and add comfort to those in attendance, we’re offering two seating options: VIP bistro table, which includes seating for two around a small table, and regular reserved seating which has more leg room than previous years. Additionally, the performance is a longer version which includes more of Dickens’ story that was omitted from previous years’ abridged version—this includes a brief intermission and will be approximately 2-hours. Blaxton Hall has been modified to include a small walk-up bar which will be open before the performance and during intermission.
We greatly look forward to welcoming you back to continue the tradition of Dickens’ masterpiece, A Christmas Carol. During this performance, Dickens’ great-great-grandson, Gerald Charles Dickens, adopts different voices, expressions, and mannerisms to portray each of the story’s twenty-six characters in this acclaimed one-man show. Brought to the United States each year by American Christmas company, Byers’ Choice, Dickens kicks off his the East Coast leg of his American tour each year since 2009 at Vaillancourt Folk Art’s Blaxton Hall theatre. Because of the complexity of a one-man-performance, the show is not recommended for children under the age of 8 years old.
Because of COVID, Dickens will not be available to meet following the performance, but will stay on stage for a brief Q&A session.
Please note that physical tickets will be mailed. Any digital ticket that is emailed may be discarded.
