Gary and Judi Vaillancourt with Jim Donahue Vaillancourt Folk Art is continuing their long-standing tradition of support for Old Sturbridge Village. Vaillancourt has designed the fourth in a series of hand painted chalkware santas exclusively for Old Sturbridge Village. The 2014 piece features a baby lamb, symbolic of one of the Village’s most popular sites – The Freeman Farm. Santa’s sack is adorned with the image of the hand carved fretwork from the secretary desk which was a highlight of the Nathan Lombard exhibit held earlier this year at OSV. Also tucked away on Santa’s sack is a grasshopper, representing the OSV logo and further identifying the piece as exclusively belonging to OSV. Each piece will be numbered and signed by Judi Vaillancourt. The 2014 limited production is available for $160 and can be ordered through the Village website or at the OSV Visitor Center where you can view this unique piece in person.
