Although Judi started Vaillancourt Folk Art using historic confectionary moulds, over time she’s turned to creating her own. Often, this is to adapt a historic figure with a modern day object (notably custom work for Colonial Williamsburg where Santa is seen holding a pineapple or lantern) or something completely news, like the Nautical Santa on Nantucket Whale or interpretation of Abraham Lincoln. These pieces are distinctly Vaillancourt Folk Art.
