The 2011 Collector’s Weekend, with a Colonial Christmas theme, was a wild success. Having sold out all painting workshops early we were happy with the positive feedback on the “moderately difficult” piece to paint! The group that attended the lectures on Saturday were attentive and asked some great questions. A special thank you to Connie Porcher and Bruce Elsass for making the trip to the Vaillancourt Folk Art studios to give two fantastic presentations. Besides the three painting workshops and the Saturday lectures, the crowd for both the Friday Colonial party and the Saturday Collector’s Weekend Dinner (not just for collectors!) was very well received, from the music and entertainment of Friday to the guest speaker and atmosphere at the Oliver Wight Tavern on Saturday. We thank everyone that attended and made this one of the nicest Weekend’s to date. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2012!
