Well, it almost seemed inevitable. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been forced to reschedule Collector’s Weekend 2020.Like you, we wish this was not the case but are hopeful these measures will help ensure the Coronavirus is controlled in a quick manner that will minimize the potentially disastrous effects facing many individuals, families, and small businesses. To keep a positive attitude, we’ve decided to celebrate a Christmas in July and have our 25th Annual Collector’s Weekend on Friday, July 24th through Sunday, July 26th. We are currently trying to ensure that the agenda—namely guest speakers, wine tasting, and the collector’s dinner—remains in tact, however, given the fluid nature of what’s been happening, we may have a few changes (or, keeping with the positive attitude, “pleasant surprises!”) It is our hope that we can get through the next few weeks as a country and not have to change this date even further into the year. For Painting Workshop attendees who have a conflict with the new date, please let us know and we will ship the Collector’s Weekend Santa (or rabbit) or offer a store credit for the painting workshop. For those who are unable to attend the dinner or Friday night reception and purchased tickets, you’ll be refunded fully. Collector’s Weekend is a true highlight for us here at Vaillancourt. To be able to see all of you, in person, is the greatest joy. We are very sorry for this necessary change and hope that you and your family remain safe and healthy during this time. If you have thoughts, questions, concerns, please let us know. Our state has ordered all businesses close until April 7th, but Gary and Luke will be on-site handling calls and emails.Sincerely, Gary, Judi, Luke, & the entire staff here at Vaillancourt
