In honor of the presentation of “A Christmas Carol” performed by the great-great grandson of Charles Dickens, Vaillancourt Folk Art has held an illustration contest open to High School and Middle School students in the Blackstone Valley area. The theme of the work needed to be a scene from “ A Christmas Carol”. The medium could be pen and ink, tempera, water color or oil paint. There has been a wonderful response with a wide variety of works from many talented young artists and three high school and three middle school winners were chosen on November 21st!
