Description

Chalkware 0.85 lbs 2.75 × 2 × 8.75 in
Made in United States (2019)
Seasons: Summer, Winter
Year Issued: 2019, for Monty's of Provincetown

Created in the same style as our Brant Point Nantucket Santa, the Provincetown Santa was designed exclusively for Monty’s using a reproduction engraving of the historic town drawn by John Warner Barber. Provincetown was just one of 200 Massachusetts towns featured with an engraved view in the book, Historical Collections, History and Antiquities of EVERY Town in Massachusetts, published in Worcester, Massachusetts by Dorr, Howland & Co. in 1839. The engraving has been decoupaged onto the Santa’s coat while the figure is seen holding a hand-painted basket of beads symbolizing Cape Cod’s cranberry industry.
