SUTTON Mass — Gary and Judi Vaillancourt, who founded Vaillancourt Folk Art of Sutton in 1984, are pleased to announce the promotion of Luke M. Vaillancourt to the position of President.

Luke joined Vaillancourt Folk Art in 2007 with the goal to grow their eCommerce platform and bring corporate marketing in-house. In 2016, promoted to Vice President of Operations, Luke continued to successfully grow the company’s retail, wholesale, and digital channels resulting in the business being recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the fastest growing private companies of 2020.

As president, he’ll continue to develop multi-channel commerce. “Being in business for more than 35 years, we’re fortunate to have a well established brand and loyal collector base around the globe,” said Luke. “We will continue focusing on creating the highest quality holiday product on the market so that the Christmas tradition continues for future generations.”

Luke will be replacing Gary who will move into an advisory position. Gary commented, “Luke has been instrumental in bringing Vaillancourt into the digital world and by making our retail gallery in Sutton a very strong destination and a vibrant part of the Sutton community. When COVID hit, Luke was able to pivot the company quickly to take advantage of various opportunities to ensure, not only its short-term survival, but potential for long-term growth. His vision for the future will enable our hand-made products to continue to be an instrumental part of families’ Christmas traditions for years to come.”

Vaillancourt Folk Art continues to operate in the town where it was incorporated with their Retail Gallery, Christmas museum, and Artist’s Studio located within the Manchaug Mills.
