Plan your visit, The Vaillancourt Experience

More than a visit, the Vaillancourt studios offer an immersive experience where tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of Christmas come to life. […]

For many collectors, a visit to Vaillancourt is more than a destination—it is a tradition.

What began decades ago in our original Sutton gallery, where visitors explored rooms filled with artistry, has grown into something more expansive, while remaining rooted in the same sense of warmth and discovery. Today, just a few miles from where it all began, our home in the historic Village of Manchaug offers an experience designed to inspire, educate, and immerse.

Set within a restored 19th century stone textile mill, the Vaillancourt studios invite visitors to step into a world where history, craftsmanship, and Christmas traditions are brought together under one roof. Each space has been thoughtfully created to offer a different perspective on our work—allowing collectors to move beyond simply viewing the finished piece, and instead experience the artistry behind it.

Within the  Retail Gallery, visitors are surrounded by our full collection of hand-painted chalkware and seasonal works, displayed in a setting that reflects both tradition and refinement. Just beyond, the Artist’s Studio offers a rare opportunity to observe our artisans at work throughout the year, as each piece is carefully painted by hand—continuing a process that has remained unchanged for generations.

The experience continues through the Christmas Museum, where the evolution of Christmas traditions is explored through history, artifacts, and storytelling. Here, the figures and imagery that inspire our work are placed within their broader cultural context, offering a deeper understanding of the meaning behind each piece.

Throughout the year, Blaxton Hall serves as a gathering space for performances, lectures, and seasonal events, bringing the community together in celebration of tradition and the arts. During the holiday season especially, the entire property becomes part of that experience—welcoming visitors into a setting that reflects the spirit of Christmas in its fullest form.

Together, these spaces are designed not simply to be visited, but to be experienced. Whether discovering our work for the first time or continuing a tradition that spans generations, each visit offers something new—while remaining connected to the history and craftsmanship that define Vaillancourt.
