The Historic Sturbridge Santa depicts the Commonwealth’s historic town using a reproduction engraving of the historic town drawn by John Warner Barber. Sturbridge was just one of 200 Massachusetts towns featured with an engraved view in the book, Historical Collections, History and Antiquities of EVERY Town in Massachusetts, published in Worcester, Massachusetts by Dorr, Howland & Co. in 1839. The engraving has been decoupaged onto the Santa’s coat.
