Celebrate the start of the season with a traditional German Christmas Market in the quintessential New England town of Sutton!

We are pleased to announce the Vaillancourt Christkindlesmarkt & Artisan Show featuring America’s most respected and detailed artists alongside authentic German food and drink during a European-style outdoor Christmas Market.

As with past years, admission will be staggered throughout the day to ensure a comfortable pace for shopping, eating, and merriment; your time in attendance is not limited. Tickets grant access to the entire experience: the outdoor food and beverage pavilion, the inside Artisan Hall, and the Vaillancourt Retail Gallery.

Inspired by trips to the European Christmas markets, the Vaillancourt Christkindlesmarkt & Artisan Show will help usher in the start of the holiday season.

Artists & Brands to include…

Will Moses

(Eagle Bridge, New York)

As a fourth generation member of the renowned Moses family, painting is a natural tradition for Will, who began painting when he was four years old. Encouraged by his grandfather, a well-known folk painter in his own right, young Will was allowed to experiment freely with paints. Forrest K. Moses was totally committed to self-expression and passed this freedom of spirit along to his young grandson. Stimulated by his grandfather’s confident approach, Will developed his own unique style of Americana. Today, Will continues to carry on the family tradition. Although his style is reminiscent of that of his celebrated great-grandmother, it is more complex and sophisticated.

Stephen Earp

(Shelburne Falls, MA)

Since the beginning of my ceramics career I have been fascinated by the story of how pottery has accompanied humanity through time.  This interest became personal after discovering a possible family link to 17th century Dutch potters, and (if ancestry.com is accurate) to 18th century potters in the Danvers area north of Boston.  But my interest in those styles connecting me to where I live and to my past goes beyond simply being ‘inspired by history.’  Interacting with ceramic styles with deep historical roots requires intimate sensitivity to, and nuanced appreciation of, the complex interplay between resilience and adaptation that defines nearly all traditional ceramic art.  By expressing my own thoughts through the language of these styles I hope to add my voice to an ongoing conversation in clay as it spans the centuries.

Dad’s Follies Antique Chocolate Molds

(Gibsonville, North Carolina)

Dad’s Follies is the world’s oldest and largest dealer in antique metal chocolate moulds. For over 50 years Dad’s Follies has specialized in offering only steel chocolate and pewter ice cream moulds. We have relocated tens of thousands of antique moulds to our grateful clients. We are a proud, family-owned North Carolina company operated by our second generation of Mould Experts. We currently offer our moulds online; we also exhibit many of our moulds at private shows.

Stenciling by Michele

(Hollis, New Hampshire)

Michele Hollick has been stenciling for over 45 years, evolving her kitchen-table hobby into a full-time business. A Certified Stenciler through the International Decorative Artisans League, she began working on walls, quilts, and wood furniture before focusing on floorcloths inspired by her love of Colonial-era furnishings. Her work is featured in historical homes such as the Franklin Pierce Homestead in New Hampshire and the Harriet Beecher Stowe House at Bowdoin College in Maine. Michele lives in Southern New Hampshire, where her two grown children also help with the business.

Kathy Rossacci's Felted Wool Sculptures

(Milford, Massachusetts)

Kathy Rossacci is an American artist who has been experimenting in multiple mediums for many years. For the Christkindlemarkt & Artisan Show, Kathy is showcasing her hand made collectibles featuring felted wool and mixed medium sculptures which include woodland and nautical themed animals, holiday ornaments and holiday themed figurines.

Ino Schaller

(Coburg, Germany)

A fourth generation family business, Ino Schaller has been producing paper mace figures since 1894. Still located in Coburg, Germany, the Schallers have hand selected a vast assortment of holiday figures to be made available during the Vaillancourt Christkindlesmarkt & Artisan Show.

Belsnickel Bells

Daytona, FL

Belsnickel Bells is a family-run business based out of South Daytona, Florida. Originally located in Pennsylvania, Belsnickel Bells’ straps are made out of genuine leather by hand. The bells products, of which are 99% made in America, have some of the richest sounds of any bells we’ve carried. There will be an extended assortment of Belsnickel Bells available during this year’s market.

Imported and Domestic Angels

Italy/Poland/USA

We are excited to be offering a booth of angels! This year’s booth will include stunningly detailed angels imported from Italy. In addition to these hand crafted Italian angels, we will be re-introducing our Chalkware version of the hanging angel as well as our own Polish glass collections!

Feather trees, first created in late 19th-century Germany as a sustainable alternative to live evergreens, are among the earliest artificial Christmas trees and have become beloved for their historic charm and simplicity. Made from dyed feathers and wire, they reflect a conservation-minded tradition that beautifully complements our mission to preserve and celebrate timeless Christmas heritage. This year, we’re pleased to be presenting a “Feather Tree Forest” at market—featuring custom-made 24” and 60” feather trees, along with curated groupings of historic inspired ornaments—designed to evoke the nostalgic elegance of a bygone era and highlight the enduring beauty of tradition in holiday decorating.

Vilius Keramik

Lithuania

For 2025, we are pleased to partner with Keramik Vilius of Lithuania to produce an exclusive line of ceramic houses for Vaillancourt Folk Art. Established in 1991, Vilius has specialized in handcrafted ceramic candle houses since 1994, creating over 1,500 models inspired by European landmarks such as Neuschwanstein Castle, Bamberg Cathedral, and Strasbourg’s Kammerzell House. Made from Lithuanian clay and glaze that meet EU standards, each piece is individually modeled, fired, and glazed by hand, making every house unique. Designed for both beauty and function, many hold candles or fragrance oils that gently release aroma as they warm. With this collaboration, we bring together generations of Lithuanian pottery tradition and Vaillancourt’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship and Christmas artistry.

Outdoor Food & Beverage Pavilion

Decorated with live Christmas trees and Moravian Stars—our Outdoor Food & Beverage Pavilion is a place to come together. The sights are intended to usher in the feeling of the season, the smells are intended to remind you of the warmth of family and friends, and the merriment is intended to blend the two together.

For 2025, we are pleased to announce that a stage will once again be set to feature live performances by two beloved ensembles: The Tubafrau Hofbräu Band (performing from 11:00am to 3:00pm both days) and The Bavarian Brothers Trio (Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturday from 3:30pm to 7:00pm). Their authentic German music will fill the air with festive cheer, helping to usher in the spirit of the Christmas Market and transport visitors to the heart of the Bavarian forest—where the Christmas tree tradition was born.

More than just entertainment, these performances add to the Market’s old-world charm, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Europe’s most celebrated Christkindlmarkets—a perfect backdrop for enjoying fine art, handcrafted gifts, and the true joy of the season.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry with…

Experience the magic of traditional European Christmas markets with Vaillancourt. Enjoy hot glühwein imported from Nürnberg, served in collectors’ mugs, or choose from a selection of Christmas beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks like hot chocolate, soda, and seltzers. This year, Vaillancourt is also grilling mildly spiced sausages topped with grilled onions and peppers, bringing the flavors of the German markets to life! Stay warm and enjoy the festive scents filling the air.

Fraulein’s Bakery

(Massachusetts)

Fraulein’s Bakery will be returning with authentic German baked goods and organic European pastries, cookies and cakes – including Apfelstrudel, Pfeffernusse, Lebkuchen, Zimtsterne, Nussecken and Schupfnudeln (German potato dumpling) with Sauerkraut and braised pork.

Crust Bakeshop

Worcester, MA

With two cozy locations in Worcester, MA, Crust Bakeshop has been a beloved part of the community since 2014. As the sister bakery to Birch Tree Bread Company, we specialize in handcrafted, fresh breads and pastries, baked daily with care, patience, and lots of love. Our old-fashioned methods give our baked goods a unique flavor that sets us apart. We’re thrilled to join the 2024 Vaillancourt Christkindlesmarkt & Artisan Show, where we’ll bring an assortment of our finest breads, pastries, and traditional pretzels to celebrate this festive occasion. Come taste the Crust Bakeshop difference!

A tradition stemming from Bulgaria, the Chimney Cake—or Kurtos Kalacs—is an aromatic pastry that will make you fall in love with the first bite. Originally discovered in the land of Transylvania, the Chimney Cake is made from entirely natural ingredients, rolled and baked on site. A national Hungarian pastry, found at many Christmas markets in Europe, we’re pleased to share this new tradition!

Enjoy an indoor cash bar serving a fine selection of Christmas beer and wine. Looking to stay warm? Enjoy piping hot glühwein or hot chocolate inside the Artisan Hall.

The Vaillancourt Retail Gallery

As always, the Vaillancourt Retail Gallery will be open with the full splendor of the holiday season and decorated with the utmost attention to details. Most importantly, in addition to the Vaillancourt Chalkware and Ornaments, the Retail Gallery is stocked with some of the highest quality gifts and collectibles in the market.
