Sea Life Santa

Each year, during Collector’s Weekend, we create a weekend that celebrates tradition. At the centerpiece of the event, the Collector’s Dinner, one lucky participant is chosen to work with Judi to design a piece that will be made commercially available.

The 2020 Collector’s Design Series winner, Dee Mirando-Gould, worked with Judi to design a piece inspired by her close ties to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. Holding books about sea turtles, this Sea Life Santa features Mount Rainier, inspired by vintage National Park Service posters, on the back of his coat, with seals and sea otters along the sides. Continuing the sea-life theme, the rich blue coat provides the perfect backdrop for the sea turtle taking center stage in his arms.
