The mould used for this piece was created by Eppelsheimer and is stamped as Nr. 4707 on the front. This mould was a copy of a mould created by Anton Reiche (Nr. 7837). The piece pictured above, and available through the Vault, was painted during the second year of the company, 1985. Because it is so old, this was before the bottom of the pieces were sanded to a flat surface and signed, instead the piece was signed by marker, then varnished without being bottomed to our modern bottoming standards.
