In the German speaking countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Christmas Day is commonly observed as Weihnachten which includes events like Advent. During this celebration, it’s common that children return home from Church service’s nativity play and have to wait to enter their living room until a bell is rung. The bell celebrates the departure of Weihnachtsmann. The children enter the living room to see a Christmas tree, decorated with lit candles, with gifts under it. In some traditions, Weihnachtsmann will deliver the gifts to the children but will require them to sing a Christmas song.
In the Vaillancourt tradition, this Weihnachtsmann has arrived in beautiful browns, reds, and yellows and is presenting a toy rabbit to the good boys and girls of the house. Although simple in its decoration, the unique shape and faec is sure to inspire the celebrations of Weihnachten.
The house brand to Vaillancourt Folk Art, Vaillancourt products expand beyond American made Chalkware and Polish made Ornaments—but, regardless the line, fine art quality is a staple of Vaillancourt products. As one of the last domestic Christmas studios, Vaillancourt is focused on keeping and growing your family’s traditions.
