One of a kind painted by Judi Vaillancourt, this European Father Christmas is the designed with inspiration from the Winterthur exhibit of the resplendent costumes of Downton Abbey; specifically, the Harem Pants.
The detail work within this piece is as intricate as the stitch work itself. Originally introduced in 1911 by couturier Paul Poiret in Paris. The original costume for the series was constructed of fragile vintage fabric that often split during firming. Within this Chalkware one of a kind, you’ll see utmost detail that almost looks like the original stitching found within the clothing.
