This Santa was inspired by the 1936 Texas centennial held in Dallas, TX. The theme for the Texas Centennial was “Texas Under Six Flags.” The logo for the 1936 Texas Centennial can be found on the back of Santa’s Coat.

The quilt pattern for the bag was taken from an 1896 Pennsylvania album sampler quilt, Peek in the Attic added the Texas flag and bluebonnets.

The “flying red horse” Pegasus symbolizes the landmark of Dallas, Texas.

The three varieties of grapes (green, purple and yellow) represents the Texas wine industries in Central and Western Texas.
