The Al Johnson’s Santa, created exclusively for Tannenbaum Holiday Shop by Judi Vaillancourt, features Santa and a goat on the roof of Al Johnson’s Restaurant. His hat bears the traditional swedish rosemaling, and the door reads “Valkommen”. These Limited Edition pieces are signed and numbered, and are the perfect gift for anyone who loves Door County.
Vaillancourt Folk Art started in 1984, when Judi, a classically trained artist with a passion for antiques and Christmas, adapted the Victorian art form of chalkware into her own process by pouring liquid chalk into vintage confectionery moulds (including candy, ice cream, and chocolate moulds) and applying her fine-art skills to the resulting three-dimensional canvas.
The house brand to Vaillancourt Folk Art, Vaillancourt products expand beyond American made Chalkware and Polish made Ornaments—but, regardless the line, fine art quality is a staple of Vaillancourt products. As one of the last domestic Christmas studios, Vaillancourt is focused on keeping and growing your family’s traditions.
