Uncorking The Third Christmas Wine In The New Vaillancourt Parlour

Friday, September 10, 2021
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We’ll be “cutting the ribbon” of our new Christmas Parlour and enjoying a preview of our new Christmas Wine! Join us as we celebrate another reason to enjoy the merriment of the countdown ’till Christmas!

The Parlour

The Parlour was originally built in 1995 as an almost-to-scale replica of the Ice Cream Parlor that operated at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History from 1981 – 2003. For our purposes, it acted as the backdrop to our wholesale showroom in Atlanta for over 26 years until we decided to relocate it to Sutton this summer. Friday, we’ll be officially “opening” it as a showcase for our high-end German Christmas brands and plan on having it be a focal point of our Retail Gallery. It also allows for future development within the Retail Gallery’s footprint!

The Christmas Wine

After COVID prevented us from introducing a new Christmas wine last year, we’re thrilled to be able to offer our third limited edition wine.

The label is the most beautiful yet as it unlocks Judi Vaillancourt’s interpretation of Santa Claus. The portrait, which was originally oil on paper, catches the essence and historic integrity of the Christmas icon and on the bottle, is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays.

This year’s wine selection is a beautiful 2017 Pinot Noir from Monterey, CA. Monterey wines benefit from the air of the Pacific ocean crashing onto the rugged sea cliffs of the Santa Lucia mountains. It’s here that the Pinot Noir vines thrive within the vast Salinas Valley where bright sunshine radiates the rock outcrops and hills. The cool nights ensure the grapes do not ripen too quickly and the thick blanket of morning fog instills the aroma and body of the wine—balanced by its nuance flavors of silky earth, minerals, and spice.
