Sailor's Valentine Santa - New for 2016 Please note that this event will be returning to the tent at Barlett's Farm! The Nantucket Folk and Artisan Show is a juried show which brings together over 50 nationally and locally recognized artisans. The show features an unparalleled selection of pottery, jewelry, textiles, carvings, handcrafted furniture, folk art, and many one-of-a-kind masterworks created by today’s most celebrated artisans and craftspeople. The Waterford Fair is the oldest juried crafts fair in Virginia and four-time winner Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association Best Event of the Year. In addition to historic homes open for tour, 155 juried heritage craftspeople (many nationally known) provide hands-on demonstrations, entertainers provide continuous traditional music and dance, Colonial and Civil War-era militia encamp and demonstrate, and there are children's activities throughout the weekend. Returning in November, the Wilton Historical Society is presenting the highlight of the season: American Artisan Show. Fifty highly-skilled artisans from across the country will be presenting their work and its influences that have been part of American fine handwork since the 18th century.  Shaker-style furniture, pottery, baskets, candles, quilts, Windsor chairs, rugs, floor cloths, art, tavern signs, fine jewelry – and even beautifully turned peppermills will be available for purchase.  The show is fittingly set in the Society’s charming 18th and 19th century buildings.
