#BehindTheScenes: Preparing For The Annual Christmas Opening With Starlight Santa

The week before Halloween is often a time that parents are busy putting final touches on their children’s costumes and making certain that their house is stocked with candy for the occasional trick or treaters. But, for Vaillancourt Folk Art in Sutton, we’re busy with Christmas on the mind. Now, it’s not to say that we ignore the Fall holiday—we’ve relocated our primary Halloween decorations and collectibles, albeit to a less prominent spot—but with our Christmas opening on Friday, November 4th we are in full blitz mode.

For the first time, we’ve been sharing a #BehindTheScenes look at the intricate process of preparing for the opening—where we’ll introduce premier numbers of our 27th annual Starlight Santa—via our Facebook and Instagram. Through these social media platforms you’ll be able to see the process in which we receive all of our holiday product and transform the retail gallery into a winter wonderland.

We hope that you’ll be able to join us on Friday, November 4th as we officially kick off the 2016 Christmas season. Although we are open all day, we’ll be celebrating the 27th annual Starlight Santa by offering #1 and sequential premier numbers beginning at 5:00pm. Judi, our co-founder and artist who has designed all of the Chalkware favorites, will be on hand to sign all purchases on Friday (5:00pm – 8:00pm) and Saturday (9:00am – 5:00pm). If customers are unable to join us, you can order online and request the piece to be signed.

As we enter into the 2016 Christmas season, we are thankful to all of our dedicated collectors and casual consumers. Producing a domestic, fine art quality product is what we do and if we can become part of your family’s traditions that means the world to us.
