In 2009 we introduced a more contemporary ornament line—dubbed “Glitz.” This line was a true change from our Vaillancourt-style chalkware and ornament feel, which is made unique from all other Christmas ornaments and Christmas collectibles because of it’s matte finish, high quality detail, and intense research that Judi does before designing each piece. The Glitz line was created as a BETA program to match the desire of several Department store and to catch the eyes of the 20-something audience. The Glitz ornaments quickly sold out.
In 2010, Judi designed to expand the “Glitz” line—renamed to “Glimmer”—by creating more of the glass ornaments (still made with the shapes we developed) and by adding a chalkware line that matched the look and feel of the glimmer ornaments. These pieces, quickly grabbed by collectors and department stores, is a unique line that uses 24-karat gold leafing, and high quality beading as embellishments.
