In 2013, Lisa Shea released the first of a series of mystery novellas set within the picturesque town of Sutton, MA. Aspen Allegations, the first book of the series, was well received and earned the 2013 IPPY Gold Medal for Best Regional eBook. The sequel, Birch Blackguards, is to be released in 2014 and continues the small town setting of Sutton, MA and included Vaillancourt Folk Art as the scene within the story.
During Vaillancourt Folk Art’s 30th anniversary celebration, we welcome Lisa Shea to introduce the release of Birch Blackguards. Join us in celebrating Sutton, on Friday, May 16th from 6pm – 8pm where Ms. Shea will be on hand to sign books and talk about the unique process that she took part of in writing both Aspen Allegations and Birch Blackguards. All proceeds benefit battered women’s shelters. Medieval romance and modern murder mystery novels with heart. Both stories are suitable for teens and up and are non-explicit.
Lisa Shea is a fervent fan of honor, loyalty, and chivalry. She brings to life worlds where men and women stand shoulder to shoulder, steady in their desire to make the world a better place for all. While her heroines often wield a sword, they equally value the skilled use of their intelligence, wisdom, courage, and compassion.
Lisa has published eleven medieval romance novels and a modern murder mystery novel. She also has published over forty non-fiction books including a trio on Wedding & Courtship traditions in Ireland, France, and Italy.
