Chain of Lights

2011 Chain of Lights

A Quintessential Small Town Christmas Celebration

Each year the town of Sutton welcomes visitors to its “Chain of Lights.” A day long celebration in this quaint town filled with the Christmas spirit, family fun, shopping and an assortment of “old fashioned” New England experiences.  The picturesque town center, with its white spire church and Period homes is the starting point for the day.  A free Trolley ride is available to transport visitors to the various events. Taking the trolley from stop to stop through the picturesque back roads adds to the ambiance of the day, especially if the trolley riders break into Christmas Carols!

On Saturday December 3, 2011, from 10am to 4pm, Sutton shops, churches, farms, art galleries, school and Historical Society will open their doors with locally made products, food, entertainment and warm hospitality. The day concludes with the lighting of Christmas Trees and caroling on the town Common. Visit the official web site for more information.

Vaillancourt Folk Art

On Saturday, December 3rd 2011 (10am – 5pm) visit Vaillancourt Folk Art as we join several groups and organizations in the Town of Sutton as they all participate in the town’s Chain of Lights celebration. In addition to some great Christmas shopping specials, and the gallery decorated with the splendor of the holidays, enjoy a Ukulele Christmas performance in Blaxton Hall. Rebekah and Sir Harry, having come up from New York City, will be performing at 11:00am, 12-noon, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm.
