Collector’s Weekend 2014

Whether a serious collector, casual shopper, or simply a Christmas enthusiast, join us for this year’s Collector’s Weekend here in Sutton. Learn to paint your own Vaillancourt Chalkware Santa under the guidance of our artists, attend the holiday Lecture series with professionals within the industry, be entertained with the Friday evening opening where we introduce premier numbers of exclusive pieces, and enjoy the highly anticipated Collector’s Dinner— this year, at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, conveniently where a block of rooms are reserved! Friday evening’s Reception opening will include to be announced live music from 6:00 – 7:30. Saturday’s lectures will be announce soon! Attention Painting Workshop Attendees: Registration will begin promptly at 9:30am and will include a visual presentation in Blaxton Hall. Following the presentation, painters will be given their materials for the painting workshop.

In 2013, Lisa Shea released the first of a series of mystery novellas set within the picturesque town of Sutton, MA. Aspen Allegations, the first book of the series, was well received and earned the 2013 IPPY Gold Medal for Best Regional eBook. The sequel, Birch Blackguards, is to be released in 2014 and continues the small town setting of Sutton, MA and included Vaillancourt Folk Art as the scene within the story. On Saturday (10am – 5pm) Vaillancourt Folk Art will be open with the splendor of the season offering live entertainment, festive shopping, and some in-store exclusive sales!
