Following the original steps as his great-great grandfather, Charles Dickens, made Gerald Charles Dickens has forged ahead to create a tradition unique to the area. For the 5th year in a row, Dickens will make the journey from England to take the stage and perform his mesmerizing one-man performance of A Christmas Carol. Done in a similar manner that Charles Dickens used for his Worcester readings in both 1842 and 1868, Gerald adopts different voices, expressions and mannerisms to portray each of the story’s twenty-six characters in this acclaimed one-man show.

Gerald has performed at the Vaillancourt Folk Art theatre in Sutton, MA since 2009 and added Mechanics Hall—the same venue that Charles Dickens famously read the story to a sell-out crowd in 1868—in Worcester, MA to the performance schedule during his 2012 September visit commemorating the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens.
