The Big Bunny

Judi replacing the Flower Basket with the Fall Pumpkin

The warmer days of Spring have inspired Judi to start working on The Big Bunny. Born on February 9th, 2010 the three foot tall bunny has gone through several stages over the past year. You can follow the process here, here and here, but over the past few days Judi has put some intense detail into the over-sized bunny.

When one thinks of chocolate molds the first thought it usually of a bunny made from chocolate, but usually not a chocolate bunny that is 3-feet tall and nearly 100lbs. While Judi has painted large Santas (including the 2011 Big Boy Santa) this is the first time Vaillancourt Folk Art has produced a one-of-a-kind rabbit at this size and intense detail.

One thing that makes this Big Bunny special besides it’s size and detail, is that it comes ready for any season. In the Spring and summer Judi has created a flower bouquet that sits on his backpack basket. For the fall a one-of-a-kind pumpkin was created to sit in his back for some trick or treating, and in the winter an ornament can be found in his paws. Whether you love art, Spring or the Winter months, this Big Bunny has come prepared.
